Pasha Hawaii Fleet Receives 2024 Environmental Achievement Awards from the Chamber of Shipping of America

Honolulu, HI-based Pasha Hawaii announced that its fleet in the Hawaii/Mainland trade was recognized with Certificates of Environmental Achievement at the Chamber of Shipping of America’s Annual Environmental Achievement Awards for operating a total of 41 years in environmental excellence.

MV George II (formerly Horizon Reliance) was honored for 23 consecutive years, Horizon Spirit for 13 years, MV Jean Anne for 3 years, and MV George III for 2 years of environmental excellence.

Kathy Metcalf, President and CEO of CSA, noted, "These awards celebrate the dedication to environmental excellence of our seafarers and the company personnel ashore who operate their vessels to the highest standards. In today's world, our industry only gets front-page coverage when problems arise. However, tonight we celebrate these positive achievements and the critical contributions the maritime industry makes to the domestic and global economies while operating their vessels in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. It should be clear to the American public that we in the maritime industry take our environmental stewardship very seriously. Safe and environmentally responsible operations is a culture fully embraced by the maritime industry as a whole and as evidenced by the performances of the award recipients recognized tonight."
