Pasha Hawaii Continues Hurricane Relief Efforts Through Partnership with Puerto Rico Carriers
Friday, November 3, 2017Honolulu, HI-based Pasha Hawaii has announced that it will continue the deployment of the U.S. Jones Act vessel Horizon Spirit in service of the Puerto Rico market to support hurricane relief and rebuilding efforts beyond the vessel’s initial voyage from the Port of Los Angeles to the Port of San Juan.
The Horizon Spirit arrived Wednesday, November 1st at the Port of San Juan, bringing nearly 800 containers filled with bottled water to assist in humanitarian relief for the people of Puerto Rico. Pasha Hawaii remains committed to the ongoing hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico, and will make the vessel available as long as it can help the island’s people and businesses.
Monday, November 6th, the Horizon Spirit is expected to depart Jacksonville, FL with a full complement of cargo utilizing the vessel’s 170 refrigerated and over 700 dry containers’ capacity. On Thursday, November 9th, the Horizon Spirit will deliver those critical relief supplies to Puerto Rico on behalf of fellow U.S. Jones Act carriers Crowley Maritime Corp. and TOTE Maritime.
